McGillivray Adit: Analog Survey Techniques

Put your new survey skills to practice with a simple introduction to analog caving skills. Modern cave survey usually employs digital tools such as distos, tablets etc. but it's important to understand the analog process for when the digital tools fail. We will use the easy-to-access McGillivray Adit as a training ground and you will have the opportunity to collect approximately 150m of simple cave measurements and try your hand at sketching.

Learn one of the most common cave survey softwares in this introductory course.
